Marking the 10th anniversary of Red Bull BC One,16 of the globe’s leading break-dancers went head to head in Seoul, South Korea, at the most important B-Boy event in the world.
Celebrating the past decade of breaking as a global culture, South Korea’s Hong 10 was crowned the Red Bull BC One World Champion as he battled against seven past winners, the scene’s freshest talent from six Finals Champions, and two Wild Card entries.
Hip Hop talent in the form of DJ Jazzy Jeff & DJ Pumpkin, Korean group Drunken Tiger and American-born MC Jay Park all set the scene for the world B-Boy showdown. They were joined by the who’s who of B-Boy royalty making up the judging panel, including breaking pioneer, Poe One (USA); B-Boy legend Storm (Germany); South Korea’s very own Ducky; El Niño, the youngest member of 2013 judging panel, and founding member of the legendary Vagabond Crew and seasoned judge, French B-Boy Lamine.
The final battle saw Hong 10 (South Korea) and Mounir (France) put their contrasting styles to the test. After three epic rounds Hong 10 took the win with an incredible display of signature moves, epic stare-downs and powerful freeze holds to a roaring crowd.
