ZiMAD, an international game developer, has partnered with Sony Pictures to launch its first film-based puzzle collections within its Magic Jigsaw Puzzles mobile game, enabling users the opportunity to experience their favorite Hollywood movies in a unique and fun way.
As the game’s current audience is primarily moms and children, three animated films have been chosen as top recurring themes for the premiere puzzle packs, which will be available both for free and as a premium in-game content for purchase. Those films are The Smurfs, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania. Other current and new release films will be included in the game at a later date.
“We always look for opportunities to bring a fresh perspective to our games and feel we’ve done that in a big way with the Magic Jigsaw Puzzles and Sony Pictures collaboration,” said ZiMAD CEO Dmitry Bobrov. “Magic Jigsaw Puzzles has a passionate audience and we want to keep them engaged by offering unique and exciting content that keeps them coming back for more.”
This most recent cooperation coincides with a National Geographic partnership signed in 2016 to bring exclusive nature content to the game’s more than 4 million active monthly players around the world. The Sony Pictures content aims to broaden the Magic Jigsaw Puzzles audience even further by providing family-friendly puzzles that are perfect for all ages and skill levels.
ZiMAD will continue to explore partnerships to expand its already robust library of more than 20,000 puzzles even further in the future.
